Do you have any rituals

I haven’t posted about rituals since 2021. Given that it is how I start and end my day, I am ready to talk about rituals more. What do they look like? Why are they helpful? There is a reason why there are more habit tracking apps than ever before (and some are not cheap).

Morning ritual

Nice things to say to yourself:

  • I am blessed. God is with me.

  • I can do it.

  • Today will be great.

  • I’m ready for anything.

  • I am enough as I am today.

Journal, practice gratitude, focus on what you have, exercise or stretch,

Mid-day ritual

Listen to music, set goals, stay hydrated, laugh, get some fresh air.

Live your values and say “no” where appropriate.

Meditate even if it is in the bathroom or your car.

Your thoughts, beliefs, actions will determine where your life goes.

Bedtime ritual

Floss and brush those teeth, dental work is expensive, toothpaste, toothbrush and floss is not.

Nice things to say to yourself at night: I am safe. I release the day. If in pain, "I am not my pain.”

Plan on 7-8 hours of sleep. If you do not get enough sleep, you have stress and people tend to eat more.
