Your GPS
GPS stands for global posititioning system. Satellites send your location back to a device on planet earth. You have a personal GPS you were born with to make sure you know your location called your intuition. Your intuition will tell you is this a safe person or an unsafe person; do I like where my life is headed or am I headed the wrong way; is doing this action my friends and family want in the direction I want to go or is it a detour. We receive the information daily but do we listen? And what is the cost of not listening?
There were two jobs in my life that I absolutely loved but left because of someone else’s agenda. I once worked at the American Kennel Club also known as the AKC doing public education programs. I was lucky enough to work with schools all over the United States creating materials for grades K-12. The other job was being a professor at Volunteer State Community College as the head of the paralegal studies program. My program graduated hundreds of well-trained, prepared, professional students who now work in private practice, government (state and federal level), and some who made it all the way through law school. One is a local magistrate. I left both of these jobs because the person I lived with encouraged me to go for jobs with more money.
Money is important in our culture. In the United States, we need money to pay for shelter, transportation, food, healthcare, technology, and utilities. Money gives you freedom. However, money should never be your single goal. I enjoyed both of those jobs for a variety of reasons, but mainly I enjoyed them because the atmosphere at the business allowed me to be myself while I helped others by providing information. I left the AKC to go and work at a brokerage house on Wall Street. I left VSCC to go and work at a larger college out of state. I consider both of these to be personal GPS disasters. I knew leaving was not going to lead me to something that fulfilled my purpose in life. I left because the person I made a vow to “for richer or for poorer” really only wanted “richer” and could only see dollar signs when those other job opportunities presented themselves. I had an epic fail when I did not listen to my GPS.
Creating this website has been a non-stop journey following my GPS. It will make money and money is important; however, hopefully I will once again help people by providing information to enrich their lives. If you need help, look over the services available on the page labelled YOU. You are the person I created this website for and want to assist. You are the person I can provide information to and guide. Over the years I have done hour consults that change people’s lives, and sometimes I have people I see every week for three years before they are ready to listen to their GPS. Ultimately though, you should not need me because you have YOUR GPS that you need to listen to so your purpose is fulfilled. Have an amazing journey. I hope I can be part of it.
