Member Areas

Coming in June 2023, my site will have member areas for people who want to pay for unlimited monthly or yearly content. There will continue to be free resources on my website. The monthly and yearly paid areas are enhanced areas for people going through divorces/ending abusive relationships/dealing with custody. Those special members get the regular support they need to survive and then thrive while they walk away from chaos.

As a former attorney, I have seen smooth or uncontested divorces. These people had it so together they did not need to hire attorneys. The couple filled out the paperwork together, signed it, I reviewed it, and then they waiting after it was filed. Remember to check YOUR state for a self-help guide on filing for divorce. Every state is different. Some allow for a “no-fault” divorce and in other states you must have a darn good reason. Some states make you wait a mere 31 days other states it could be years. Depending on where you live, what property you own, and the children you have; your divorce is going to be different. Former clients would recommend people and those referrals would want the same easy divorce. I would have to explain it is not the same and not easy because . . .

  • you live in a different state or county

  • you have grounds and must end the marriage for a serious reason like abuse (did you know states may let you sue for physical harm that came to you under the state’s tort statute).

  • you have children and the younger the children are the more complicated it gets and if the two parents cannot agree on religion or education decisions, prepare yourself for ongoing battles until the child is 18.

People tell me all the time that they are excited about the youngest child from their ex turning 18. Parenthood responsibilities continue past 18. Hello, health insurance rules and marital/parenting agreements/orders that state parent will pay for child’s college education or until the child is 21. Plus, you get to interact with your ex on special occasions like holidays, birthdays, graduations, engagements, weddings, grandchildren’s birthdays and so much more!

It’s all a little overwhelming when you start to even consider a divorce. Children add another layer to consider so part of the member site discusses do you stay until your child is older. I want to encourage people to share my website, my blog, my Facebook and Instagram pages and posts. If you are interested in sign up for the classes you can always email me from the contact page.
